Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LiveTranslate real-time translation platform ("Service") operated by LiveTranslate SRL ("we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated in Romania. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Accounts and Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@livetranslate.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
2. Payment Terms
Each event costs a flat fee of €1 (EUR), payable at the time of event creation via Stripe Checkout. All prices include VAT where applicable. Payment is charged immediately; events are activated only after successful payment confirmation. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice to registered users.
3. Refund Policy
A full refund of the event fee will be issued if you request it before the event has started. Once an event is set to live status, no refund will be issued. Refund requests must be submitted to support@livetranslate.app with your event identifier. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days via the original payment method.
4. Accuracy Disclaimer
The Service uses automated machine translation. As detailed in our accuracy disclaimer, machine translation is provided as-is and is not a substitute for human interpreters in legally-binding, medical, emergency, or other high-stakes contexts. You accept this limitation when creating an event. We accept no liability for translation errors or omissions.
5. Intellectual Property
We do not claim any intellectual property rights over the audio content you stream through the Service. You retain all rights to your own content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your audio in real-time solely to provide the translation Service. Audio is not stored by us — see our Privacy Notice for details.
The LiveTranslate platform, brand, software, and all associated materials are our exclusive intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our platform without our express written consent.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service:
- For any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Romanian or EU law;
- To transmit content that is defamatory, hateful, obscene, or infringing;
- To attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account;
- In any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Service.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, without prior notice or liability. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including payment obligations, intellectual property, and limitation of liability).
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LiveTranslate SRL and its officers, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the six months preceding the claim.
9. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Romania. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The current version is always available at livetranslate.app/legal/terms.
